History of the BSSDA
The club was formed March of 2004 at a meeting we had at Ryan's restaurant in Pineville, Louisiana. I think 14 people showed up. We decided to form the club and select officers and board members. The original board members were Scotty Guillot, Garlan McInnis, Andrew Simms, Faine Miller, and Chester Thompson. Secretary/Treasurer Ronald Mack, Vice President Russ Springer, President Robert Hunnell.
We held our first hunt on Sept 11, 2004 at Larry Parker camp in Kinder Louisiana. The hunt was named the Calcasieu River Classic. We held two hunts that day an NKC and OMCBA. The hunt was a success we had 26 dogs in the NKC and 9 in the OMCBA hunt that evening.
We held a meeting before the hunt on August 14, 2004 to get ready for the hunt at this time we already had 80 members.
